Our travel plans were rained off this morning, we were up at 6am and out at the airport for 7 hoping to get in the air before the bad weather arrived but unfortunately the rain came earlier than forecast and we had to cancel our trip. Looking at the weather now it was a good decision as it has lashed here all day and there are thunderstorms all the way to San Antonio. The forecast for New Orleans looks bad all weekend but hopefully we’ll get a window of a few hours to get us out as it looks good in Texas from tomorrow on.
So it was back into a taxi for us and a new hotel, watched a movie and then headed out for lunch. While Sharon might not recommend the food I’m loving it, chargrilled oysters, fried shrimp platters, Cajun crap claws, catfish, po boy sandwiches, alligator burgers I could eat it all day. Speaking of food I love hot sauces so I picked up a few bottles of the sauce pictured below.
Hello All,
ReplyDeleteSo the weather the last couple of days is holding up the plan! The only bad weather the Gulf of Mexico has experienced all summer is this week when we need VFR weather to move on. Looks like we are spending another day in New Orleans in the rain.
We are so looking forward to getting in the air again, maybe tomorrow.
Sharon

ReplyDeleteGlad you made it to New Orleans, sorry the weather isn't working out for you yet! Barry says if you see a levee leaking water to not put your finger in it. Words of advice from a true genius I'd say...
ReplyDeleteTake care and safe travels!
